TDC AUTOMOTIVE URGES TOYOTA OWNERS TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF ONGOING AIRBAG RECALL INITIATIVE

Posted on 02/14/2025

The TDC Automotive Division is intensifying its efforts to encourage the motoring public to act swiftly and take advantage of the ongoing Toyota airbag recall initiative, which is currently underway in the Federation.

The initiative aims to address a critical safety concern for owners, drivers, and passengers of certain Toyota models.

The recall affects the following vehicles:
Toyota Yaris/Belta (2006 – 2012)
Toyota RAV4 (2003 – 2005)
Toyota Corolla (2003 – 2013)
Toyota 4Runner (2013 – 2016)

The defective airbags in these vehicles pose a serious safety risk. In the event of deployment, the airbags can rupture, sending metal fragments and debris toward the driver and passengers.

In an interview with ZIZ News, Duran Merchant, Sales and Service Manager at TDC Automotive Division, emphasized the importance of addressing the issue immediately.

While some owners of the affected Toyota vehicles have already taken advantage of the ongoing airbag recall initiative, Merchant explained that the response has not yet reached the desired levels.

Merchant also explained that the TDC Automotive Division is offering the airbag replacements for free, a service that is available to all owners of the affected vehicles, regardless of whether they purchased their vehicle from TDC.

Owners can reach the TDC Automotive Division at telephone numbers 465-2511 in St. Kitts or 469-5430 in Nevis or visit the division’s website at www.tdcautoskn.com for further details.
