Basseterre, St. Kitts, Apr 10, 2024 (ZIZ Newsroom): St. Kitts and Nevis will engage in international discussions to acquire investments in a variety of areas for economic diversification.
Prime Minister Hon. Dr. Terrance Drew made that announcement during his engagement with journalists on Tuesday, April 09, 2024, at his Roundtable discussion.
“I’m traveling to the Middle East where I’ll go Abu Dhabi and I will be meeting with a team that I met in Dubai previously and came to St. Kitts and Nevis to discuss a matter most important to us in achieving our sustainable island state – the issue of renewable energy and geothermal,” Prime Minister Drew said, adding that he will be meeting with the Royal Family to discuss investments in St. Kitts and Nevis.
“Geothermal energy will also be at the centre of discussions. This potential holds promise for our developing nation as a clean source of energy which will help us to transform into the sustainable island state.”
Dr. Drew, who is the minister in charge of the Citizenship by Investment program, will participate in a conversation about the program while abroad.
“I will also travel to Dubai where I will participate in a CBI panel discussion to discuss our program as it is now being repositioned.”
According to the prime minister, the other area of focus would be in the tourism and hospitality industry and other investments in the country that would cover a wide spectrum.
