BASSETERRE: The Climate Action Unit has launched a series of stakeholder engagements under the SKN 100 Project, an initiative aimed at supporting St. Kitts and Nevis’ transition to cleaner energy.
The project, titled “Achieving Rapid Decarbonisation Of The Energy Sector,” was officially launched on Tuesday through the Ministry Of Environment, Climate Action And Constituency Empowerment.
The initiative is designed to help advance the Federation’s transition to a low-carbon, climate-resilient and sustainable energy future.
The project will focus on strengthening energy policies and regulatory frameworks while supporting investment in clean and renewable energy.
The first engagement under the project took place at the St. Kitts Marriott Resort, where government officials and other key stakeholders met to discuss priorities for the Federation’s energy transformation.
Officials say the SKN 100 Project is an important step toward improving energy security, building climate resilience and advancing sustainable development in St. Kitts and Nevis.
