Three Citizens Receive King’s Birthday Honours

BASSETERRE: Three distinguished citizens of Saint Christopher and Nevis have been recognized in King Charles III’s Birthday Honours List 2025, announced by Government House on October 20.

Mrs. Jacinth Lorna Henry-Martin received the highest honor, being named an Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (OBE) for her exceptional services to Public Life, Diplomacy and Culture. This prestigious appointment recognizes her significant contributions across multiple sectors that have strengthened the nation’s international relations and cultural development.

Two citizens were awarded the Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (MBE). Ms. Irma Christina Johnson was honored for her dedicated service to Public Service and Community Outreach, demonstrating her commitment to improving the lives of fellow citizens through her work in the community.

Mr. Sylvester Anthony also received an MBE for his service to Law and the Legal Profession, acknowledging his contributions to upholding justice and advancing legal standards in the Federation.

The King’s Birthday Honours List is a tradition where the British monarch recognizes individuals who have made outstanding contributions to their communities and countries. His Majesty approved these awards on the advice of the federal government.
