BASSETERRE – Port Zante experienced another bustling day in the tourism sector as three cruise ships simultaneously docked on Tuesday, bringing 5,371 passengers to St. Kitts and Nevis.

The Grand Princess arrived with 2,324 passengers, while Celebrity Eclipse carried 2,827 guests. Club Med 2 rounded out the trio with 220 passengers, marking a significant day for the federation’s cruise industry.

The majority of passengers disembarked to explore the island’s offerings, with beaches proving particularly popular among visitors. Shopping districts in the capital also saw increased activity as tourists browsed local vendors and shops.

Tour operators reported strong demand as passengers visited various landmarks across the island, taking in the cultural and historical sites that St. Kitts and Nevis offers.

The momentum continues Wednesday with four additional vessels scheduled to dock at Port Zante: Celebrity Beyond, Zuiderdam, Marella Voyager, and Ariva. The consecutive arrivals signal a robust start to 2026 for the local cruise tourism sector.

The steady stream of visitors provides opportunities for local businesses, tour operators, beach facilities, and vendors to benefit from the tourism economy during what appears to be a strong season for cruise arrivals in the federation.

Port Zante remains a key gateway for international visitors experiencing St. Kitts and Nevis, with Tuesday’s arrivals demonstrating the port’s capacity to accommodate multiple large vessels simultaneously.
